She drove herself to 397 Ocean View Dr. She wasn’t feeling her best, but she couldn’t miss the chance to attend this A-list party. After all, it was her first time in Bantry Bay, and she could deal with the sadness later that night. More than anything, she didn’t want to miss the opportunity to see him. Or rather, she wanted him to see her.
He saw her, the new her: healed, glowing. That green dress. The open back that ended just before the curve below began. All of a sudden, vivid memories rushed back, sending goosebumps down his skin.
It was barely 6 p.m. and the sunset starting. She and her acquaintance were contemplating the view and the cool breeze. Just in the middle of a thought, she suddenly felt her spine ignite, two hands gently holding her waist. She knew it was him.
That night, she didn’t sleep.
